1 Corinthians 10:13

ree

"We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously"

Fighting against temptation is something we all have in common. It isn’t something new to us as humans. We’ve all experience temptation in some way.

What is temptation?

Temptation is the desire to do something, especially something wrong or unwise.

Temptation isn’t new to bible as well. We can look back at Matthew 4 and see that Jesus was tempted as well. Jesus experienced temptation in every way, being in the wilderness for 40 days and didn’t fall at all!

The father gives us an escape when we face temptation as well. He understands that the devil is trying every trick to get his children to fall in sin. Only thing is that we have the Father is working and protected us in every way.

We must continually be aware daily of temptations that come for us and know how to shield ourselves from them.

Our biggest and greatest defense is the word of God!

Ephesians 6:11 says, “Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser!”

We can boldly and confidently fight against temptation knowing that the Lord will have an escape for us and that we have the word of God to guide us through that.

Know that you’re not the only one who deals with temptation. We all do. Don’t be afraid to express your struggles and temptations with fellow believers.

God loves you!

He is fighting for you every day!

Stay strong in the word!

Pray, always!
