"The Bread of Life"

John 6:35

35 Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life. Come every day to me and you will never be hungry. Believe in me and you will never be thirsty.”

This is more than just a physical need. Jesus uses the physical act of needing bread to symbolize how bad we need him. It is a necessity!

If you’re physically hungry than you eat.

If you’re physically thirsty than you drink.

Jesus is using the same worldly concept to make it understandable for believers to grasp. “Come every day to me and you will never be hungry”, “Believe in me and you will never be thirsty”

Same concept spiritually.

Every day we must come and desire to be fed. Only way to be fed is to be in the word daily.

Jesus is the only one who can fill us up.

The world teaches us to go to other things to fill our own void. For everyone it might be different.

When we constantly eat his word up, we start to see the world less attractive and start to grow spiritually.

As you reflect today, make it a daily practice to read his word (The Bible). Doesn’t matter for how long or for how short. He blesses the time we give.

Our baby steps of obedience turn into bigger steps that Lord leads us to take!

Be encouraged, the Lord wants and desires a relationship with you. One day at a time, take his daily bread. You’ll start to recognize the changes in your life.

The Lord’s Prayer says it, “…...Gives us this day our daily bread”

Jesus is the “Bread of Life”
