"Being Fed Daily"

1 Peter 2:1-3

“So abandon every form of evil, deceit, hypocrisy, feelings of jealousy and slander. In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life especially now that you have had a taste of the goodness of the Lord Jehovah and have experienced his kindness.”

God wants our hearts and character to be pure. Pure from every form of evil. This world is full of wickedness and is seeking our attention day in and day out.

This is why Peter is saying to “Intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word”. Peter is in a way expressing the importance of being fed by the word daily.

Being fed spiritually not only grows our relationship with the Lord but we become much stronger in our faith and maturity.

Just like babies when there are first born, they need milk to get stronger. Same for us. We need “milk” spiritually to get stronger.

The more we consume the word the stronger we become!

As you reflect on today, ask yourself how am I becoming spiritually stronger?

There might be changes in your life that may need to happen or even just taking a portion out of your day to get in God’s word. God will bless the time you spend with him, small or large!
